They say a picture is worth 1000 words. That may be true, but it doesn’t always tell you the full story. Especially when it comes to your band’s attire.

Most professional bands have a band photo to give you an idea of what they look like as well as provide you some clues into what sort of “vibe” they will bring to your event. They may be in traditional tuxes, business suits or even costumes. But don’t assume their photo attire is the ONLY choice you have. You may find they can switch out those white shirts for black, or change those black ties to red to coordinate with the color scheme of the decor. Ask what other suits or dresses the band might have - perhaps having the band in snappy suits enhances the fun, contemporary feeling you are going for better than more traditional formal attire. Simple changes can make the band become part of the entire room design.

Of course, the most important thing about a band is how they sound, followed closely by the energy and polish they bring to the stage. But looking beyond a band’s photo attire is another great and easy way to personalize your event and add to the ambiance of the evening.
